People We Like
A lot of people helped out in creating this website, whether they're aware of it or not. We'll deal with people specifically, first:
- Amanda Summers: A long time ago, she did artwork for me for a completely different type of Whitehaus site. A lot of her artwork went into the Prop2 page, with only slight modification, and I'm getting compliments on it even before the website is open. Thanks, Amanda.
- Jason Schupp: Actually pays attention to web design in addition to development, so when I decide to make my (loping) attempt at an actual professional site, Jason's the guy I turn to. And, he was my roommate for two years. If he can survive that, he can survive anything! Test your mental torture devices on him! He's been through worse.
- The Cabbagim: They made it clear that I wouldn't actually have to run the thing if I decided to create it. If it weren't for that assertion, this website wouldn't exist.
I will be updating this list as I remember people. I doubt I've remembered everyone I need to thank specifically.
There are also organizations that have nothing to do with this site that I need to thank.
- The PHPNuke People: PHPNuke is a news website thingy. It's pretty useful, and I decided to use it and only write the parts I needed to from scratch. Thank them, because this website was done faster, and I didn't have to re-invent the wheel to do it.
- The PHP People: Because PHP rocks on
alcoholic toast. It's the best web scripting language on Earth. And I'm a perl hacker.
- The Church of SubGenius: Because I needed a purely american religous icon. Something that came from America, 100%. This is, afterall, a site focusing on American politics. And the face of "Bob" was the only thing that came to mind. So there you are. The story of how I got their texts is a different page altoghether.
- People I got Graphics From: Specifically, the Linux kernel people, the GARLIC project, and a bunch of CD's I borrowed from my wife with clip art on them. And the American Mint. And the people at Hormel.
