Submit New Section

This form allows you to add a new section to OpenConstitution for critique by fellow users and inclusion into new constitutions. There are several parts to be filled out, and they must be completed in order for the submission to complete.
Submission Type
Submission Type:

Submitted Preamble: This is generally for new complete constitutions. The Preamble should be something that is written last when designing a new constitution. Rather than laying down the law, the preamble sets the tone for the entire document. If the government you are designing is wildly different from the one in the original constitution, then submit a new one. If you feel the original does not work as well as the current one, submit one as well.

Submitted Article: An article changes the major aspect of a government. Not just something like voting ages and term limits, but something as world changing as the number of congressional houses. When submitting an article, the annotation should explain why this change is an article and not an amendment.

Submitted Amendment: An amendment can be any type of change to the constitution. For the terms of OpenConstitution, an amendment should be any revision to a pre-existing part of a constitution, or a minor change in the flow of goverment. Any major changes should be filed under articles.
Title
Title:

The name should be a short, concise name for your submission, explaining what your submission does. See the original constitution for an example of what a title should be. Keep in mind, this is not the actual name of your submission. The name of the submission is designated by the editors, and will follow the form of "Proposed Amendment 23" or likewise. The actual name may also change between proposed constitutions.
Text
Text:

The text of your submission should explain, in no nonsense terms that most people can understand, exactly what it does. Avoid persuasive writing or explanations; think of an instruction manual rather than an editorial. Persuasion and explanation of they whys of the submission are saved for the annotation.
Annotation
Annotation:

The annotation is the place where you get to explain your submission to the your fellow users. Do with this section as you wish, what you write will be displayed with your submission when viewed. It is suggested that you include, if possible, bibliographical references, or links to explain the background of your submission. The editorial staff may append information to the bottom of your annotation, but what you write will not be changed in any way. All HTML is valid, however, if the editorial staff feels any portion of your submission is not in good faith, the entire submission will be deleted. If you have images or other visual aids, please email the staff if you would like to include them on the whitehaus server.

Please allow some time to pass for your submission to show up on the server.
